Movies for Flowergirls?

Question:

Hi there~ My neice will be one month shy of 3 years old by the time my wedding comes around.  She really has no idea about what a flowergirl is, so my sister (her mother and MOH) thought that maybe we could rent a movie that had a wedding scene in it where a flowergirl walks down the aisle.  The problem is we couldn’t think of any movies….can you? BTW, I did buy her a book called "The Little Flowergirl" which is kind of a good picture book, but we thought something more life-like would be helpful to her. Thanks in advance if you can help! This is what my 2 1/2-year-old flowergirl’s mother did with her, along with a lot of coaching and talking about the wedding, and she did a GREAT job! (Her mother dragged out an old Easter basket for her to practice with, which I thought was a good idea.)                                 Jill

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is a movie with the Olsen twins and Kristie Alley — twins separated at birth, (one rich, one a foster child)  meet at camp (sort of a take off on the parent trap, but without "real" parents). There is a wedding scene at the end, with one of the twins as the FG but she’s sort of the anti-FG role model you are looking for.  :-) There is a link on the aw or scw page to a list of movies with weddings. Betsy’s Wedding has an adorable flowergirl at the end who dumps her whole basket of rose petals in a pile in the aisle.  My daughter (5) saw the scene and promised she’d do a MUCH better job.  The wedding’s not until September but she’s already practicing her walk-step, together, step, together… If you’re hiring a videographer, perhaps s/he has a sample tape to showcase their work that has a flower girl in it. Good Luck Sue

If you have the Cable TV show, "A Wedding Story" why not tape a few episodes?  You are likely to find a flower girl <or two in a weeks worth of episodes.  <unless they are a weeks worth of repeats SANS flower-girls Regards,  Pam – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hi there~ My neice will be one month shy of 3 years old by the time my wedding comes around.  She really has no idea about what a flowergirl is, so my sister (her mother and MOH) thought that maybe we could rent a movie that had a wedding scene in it where a flowergirl walks down the aisle.  The problem is we couldn’t think of any movies….can you? There may be a flowergirl in "Three Men and a Little Lady" (the sequel to "Three Men & a Baby".  Not sure, but it is a cute movie anyway. Sandra
