– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Thank you everyone for you purrs and prayers for Angus. He passed away in his sleep last night while still at the emergency vet. They haven’t been able to determine exactly what he had, but suspect a neurological problem or virus. Angus developed tremors yesterday. They will be doing an autopsy to find out what caused his death and if it is contagious or not. Please purr and pray for Angus’ foster siblings. We are afraid for them too if this is contagious. So far they seem fine though. Angus was a bright star of a kitten. Little guy that he was, he was the first to the food bowl. He let us know with his sweet (and loud) meow when he wanted to be cuddled or played with. He and his foster siblings were rescued at a very young age and were bottle fed for several weeks. They all had a difficult start, but with love and care they became beautiful and loving young cats. Angus’ life was too short, but he was well loved and will be remembered and missed by me (his previous foster mom) and his current foster mom. Debbie Berry

I truly feel your loss. It is so sad when we lose one we cherish. Please be happy in knowing that fate chose you to be the one to give such unrestrained love and comfort to Angus. Try to relish in the happiness and joy that you so unselfishly brought to his short life… I know his star will always be shining in your heart. You have my sincere wishes that his siblings will live happy, healthy lives. OB

Debbie, It really breaks my heart when one so young doesn’t make it. You certainly went the distance for Angus – You were indeed the best friend he could have had. My deepest sympathy, Phil. I’m so very sorry to hear about Angus. And he was just a little kitten; it’s just not fair after all he’s been through. Purrs for Angus and his humans, and a candle to light his way to the Bridge. And special purrs for Angus’s foster siblings, too. ~~~~~~ Life without cats would be only marginally worth living. TC and the unmercifully, relentlessly sweet calico kitty, Kenzie. I’m so sorry to hear this. The story is so sad it almost makes me cry. The good part is that Angus had the best possible care and lots of love during his short life. Please keep us updated. I’m glad you are having an autopsy and hope it was nothing communicable. MaryL (take out the litter to reply)

Oh dear – that’s horrible. It’s so sad when they are taken from us so early. We’ll be purring and meditating for Angus’ siblings, and for you and his current foster mom. We’ll also light a candle tonight to help guide the little one on his journey to the Bridge. From the way you describe the onset of symptoms, it sounds to me like a neurological problem. We’ll sure keep our fingers crossed. Dan
